Enter Sandman was the first single released from Metallica’s fifth studio album simply Metallica. Almost instantly achieving Gold certification, the lyrics portray the nightmares of a child, and “all that come with them.” Metallica took liberties with the nursery rhyme Hush Little Baby, substituting for a more dramatic feel.
Metallica – Holier Than Thou
Holier Than Thou is a song performed by Metallica appearing on their fifth studio album Metallica, also known as the Black Album, 1991. The album was a critical and commercial success for Metallica seeing a departure for the band’s sound away from Thrash Metal to a more streamlined Heavy Metal sound. The Black Album is often referred to as the turning point for this transition.

Sad But True was the sixth and final single released from Metallica’s fifth studio album. Released under the band’s name Metallica, the album would propel Metallica into mainstream hard rock music.
Metallica – The Unforgiven
The Unforgiven is a song by the heavy metal group Metallica and appears on their fifth studio album: Metallica. Since The Unforgiven was released Metallica has spun off to additional songs that portend towards the same theme of the song. Respectively The Unforgiven II appears on the Metallica album Reload and The Unforgiven III appears on the Metallica album Death Magnetic.
