The Seven Stroke Roll is another basic drum rudiment that is very similar to other drum roll rudiments. Beginning with either hand play diddles, alternate hands with another set of diddles, alternate and then single. Like most rolls the Seven Stroke Roll is easy to initially master although getting the timing down to incorporate the Seven Stroke Roll into a fill can be a challenge for newer drummers.
