The Lesson 25 is a standard drum rudiment, and maintains the characteristics of the drag rudiments. Although the name Lesson 25 is odd and most drummer’s are initially taken aback by the name, there is no clear origin to the name. Lesson 25 consists of three alternating drum hits where the first note also has two grace notes attached and the third note is typically accented.
